New SiPrescribe Version Number Convention

Starting this year we decided to change the version number convention to help our users identify if they are in the most current version with just seeing the number. In the new number convention you can easily identify the Year (YY), the Month (MM) and the current release number, for example: 26.01.1 is 2026, January, Release # 1.

Major Updates

• Modern SiPrescribe layout: Updated the main portal frame users see on every page, including the sidebar, top navigation bar, pharmacy branding, loading indicators, icons, spacing, and cleaner list/table styling.
• Topbar global search: Added one search field for patients, prescriptions, and orders, with results grouped by type and direct navigation to the matching record or detail window.
• Centralized + New menu: Added quick actions for new electronic prescriptions (eRx), Quick Order, Advance Order, new patient creation, and patient import from the topbar.
• New dashboard experience: Rebuilt the dashboard around Critical Actions, Today Workflow, Resume Work, recent fulfillment metrics, recent order progress, portal messages, pharmacy promotions, and actionable shortcuts.
• Guided new feature tour: Added an in-app tour for the redesigned navigation, topbar search, + New actions, account menu changes, dashboard triage cards, Quick Order, Advance Order, and Medical Assistants location.
• Help Center: Added a grouped, searchable Help Center with contextual sections for dashboard, global search, patients, prescriptions, orders, reports, invoices, account settings, pharmacy settings and release notes.
• Authentication refresh: Redesigned ID.me and SiPrescribe login flows with pharmacy-branded pages, portal-down messages, password recovery, reset/create password, one-time sign-in links, secure pharmacy identifier (NCPDP) validation, and limits for repeated failed login attempts.
• Provider onboarding: Added a branded onboarding flow with provider and office information, NPI provider ID, DEA/license details, billing and shipping details, signature capture, credit card authorization acknowledgement, license photo upload, and human verification/bot protection.
• Pharmacy selection and defaults: Redesigned pharmacy selection and added default pharmacy/office management so users can control the workspace used after sign-in.
• Patient management rebuild: Rebuilt patient list and detail workflows with faster filtering for large patient lists, patient record editing, Rx and order tabs, communication history, access logs, allergy and medication management, No Known Drug Allergies (NKDA) handling, and patient portal invitations.
• Patients with Rx or Orders today: Added same-day patient filtering and visual badges for patients with prescriptions or orders created today.
• CSV patient import: Added patient import preview, duplicate checks, page-by-page review for large CSV files, and import entry points from new eRx or order workflows and topbar shortcuts.
• Prescription workflow rebuild: Rebuilt prescription list, detail, draft, review, submit, cancel, activity logs, PDF download, renewal, on-hold, diagnosis acknowledgement, and saved prescription data handling for future review or renewal.
• Rx renewal support: Added renewal creation from saved prescription data or the current Rx record, with renewal links available from review queues and prescription lists.
• Prescription templates: Rebuilt Rx Template list, create, review, update, and delete workflows so reusable prescriptions can be drafted, reviewed, saved, and reused more consistently.
• Formulations catalog: Added a Formulations section with catalog/favorite views, formula search, favorite actions, controlled substance schedule details, refill and time limits, prescribing information, therapeutic class data, and indicators when medical justification may be required.
• Improved formula selection: Improved the connection to the existing formula database with cleaner search matching, safer page loading and error handling, favorite marking and controlled substance visibility support.
• Commercial drug support: Added commercially available drug selection with NDC product code and manufacturer display, Dispense As Written (DAW) support, controlled substance schedule loading, override price handling, quantity limits, and directions-for-use templates.
• Quick Order Intake: Rebuilt a streamlined order workflow for faster patient, prescription, supply, shipping, payment, note, signature, draft, and submit actions.
• Advance Order Intake: Rebuilt a guided multi-step order workflow with prescriptions, supplies, delivery, payment, notes/signature, review, order confirmation, drafts, and the ability to send an order to the provider for signature.
• Ship-to-patient and ship-to-office workflows: Added patient shipping address selection/creation, custom shipping selection, office shipping selection, default address handling, and complete delivery address review in the order intake creation.
• Order management rebuild: Rebuilt order lists and details with filters, drafts, Quick/Advance reorder option, refills, tracking information, provider tracking links, detail and activity windows, order documents, and PDF download.
• Order pricing and payment visibility: Added amount paid, total price, supply pricing, override pricing, invoice billing, payment status, payment method counts, and clearer payment labels on orders.
• Invoices module: Added modern invoice list/detail pages with paid/unpaid/total summaries, invoice number/status/date filters, recipient details, overdue/on-time status, and export support.
• Reporting dashboard: Rebuilt reporting with configurable widgets, saved dashboard layouts, date range and daily/weekly/monthly filters, and widgets for prescriptions, orders, patients, renewals, invoices, paid amounts, spent amounts, statuses, and Quick vs Advance order drafts.
• Account Settings: Rebuilt Profile, Shipping & Billing, and Payment Methods under the user menu, including office profile editing, billing address editing, reusable shipping addresses, default shipping address management, license management, primary license selection, password reset, and payment method setup.
• Agent profile and Medical Assistants: Reworked agent profile, invitation, access management, authorization, active status handling, and moved Medical Assistants under Pharmacy Settings.
• Portal messages and pharmacy branding: Added configurable portal messages, pharmacy-specific logos, backgrounds, colors, pharmacy identifier (NCPDP) branding, and branded email templates for new orders and prescriptions.
• To Review queues: Improved renewal, electronic prescription (eRx) pending signature, order pending signature, and eRx on-hold queues with refreshed views, menu counts, extra columns, clearer badges, and direct detail/review navigation.
• List and table improvements: Standardized table styling, row-click behavior, filters, export buttons, smarter search timing, action buttons, tooltips, badges, and reusable list styling.

Security, Reliability & Performance

• Framework upgrade: Upgraded the underlying CodeIgniter application framework to version 4.7.0 and refreshed related configuration and assets, which keeps the portal on a newer supported foundation.
• Security headers: Added browser security rules that help block unsafe page embedding, unsafe content loading, unnecessary permission access, referrer data exposure, HTTPS downgrade risks, and server technology exposure.
• Safer request handling: Added stricter validation for pharmacy identifier (NCPDP) and session values, plus safer generic error messages for bad requests and missing pages.
• CSRF support: Added shared protection for background form and button actions, helping prevent forged requests from being submitted from another site.
• Dashboard performance: Added dashboard load-time tracking, reduced heavy database calls, cached dashboard data, and improved recent workflow loading.
• Table performance: Large list searches now wait until enough text is entered and use consistent server-side paging and filtering, which helps reduce unnecessary loading.
• FileMaker response handling: Improved handling when the FileMaker data source returns missing or empty results, order document responses, formula dropdown errors, and account/provider access limits.
• Prescription and order snapshots: Added saved structured copies of submitted Rx/order data and improved the pharmacy submission file creation and save flow for prescription submission.

Fixes

• Agent invitations: Fixed invitation flows so existing identities can be activated and linked correctly instead of failing silently.
• Default pharmacy: Fixed default pharmacy/office selection and session updates after workspace changes.
• Logout and secure return flows: Fixed logout behavior by pharmacy identifier (NCPDP) and restored draft return paths after ID.me verification.
• Order creation: Fixed Quick Order and newer order-flow patient-save and submit issues, including draft handling and confirmation reload behavior.
• Shipping addresses: Fixed Quick Order shipping address handling and added missing patient/office address paths.
• Order lists: Fixed sorting, tracking URL display, status filters, and removed outdated date/status filters where they no longer apply.
• Prescription renewals: Fixed renewal visibility, renewal reconstruction, on-hold display, renewal dismissal, and renew buttons across Rx views.
• Product and formula data: Fixed formula pricing, product NDC code handling, quantity labels, controlled substance schedule display, supply quantity display, and commercial product details.
• Patient workflows: Fixed patient duplicate search, phone filtering, import pagination, patient table medication display, patient detail tabs, and access log display.
• Reports and invoices: Fixed report grid styling, invoice layout consistency, and paid/spent calculations.
• Navigation and UI polish: Fixed sidebar/topbar links, shortcut placement, select pharmacy structure, tooltips, badges, loader/spinner behavior, footer branding, and responsive layout issues.
• Security adjustments: Applied multiple security hardening fixes across authentication, request validation, headers, and error output.

Dashboard

The Dashboard has been completely rebuilt to display the most important actionable insights at a glance. You can now easily monitor pending tasks, patient activity, and key workflow indicators — giving you faster visibility into what requires attention.

Patient Management

The New Patient form has been redesigned with simplicity in mind. During the registration process, you can now specify a default shipping address, streamlining the process for future orders and eliminating repetitive data entry.

Prescription Templates

Prescribers can now create reusable Prescription Templates that include one or multiple prescriptions. Templates make it easier to manage recurring treatments and standard formulations, helping reduce manual input and potential errors.

Unified Prescription Workflow

A new, fully redesigned Formulary Screen allows prescribers to create multiple prescriptions in a single, continuous workflow. From patient selection to dosage entry, every step is fluidly connected. The goal: to minimize navigation steps and provide a seamless, error-resistant process.

Order Management

• New Order Screen: Completely rebuilt with the same clean design language and improved usability. Supports all existing functionality, plus new template integration for faster ordering.
• Re-Order Capability: You can now start a new order directly from an existing one — perfect for quickly reordering identical prescriptions without manual re-entry.
• Smart Delivery Defaults: When choosing a delivery method, the system automatically defaults to the associated shipping address, reducing setup time and human error.

Invoices Module

The Invoices module has been redesigned to enhance usability and reporting. Improvements include faster search functionality, better filtering, and richer invoice details — giving users clearer visibility into billing activity.

Compliance & Security

For EPCS (Electronic Prescriptions for Controlled Substances), the system now enforces Patient ID as a mandatory field to ensure compliance with federal prescribing regulations.

Help Section

A new Help Section is now available throughout SiPrescribe to guide users with clear, step-by-step instructions and visual examples. It covers frequently used features such as creating patients, sending prescriptions, managing templates, and billing processes. It will be in constant change.

Bug Fixes

• Resolved an issue where inviting prescriber agents occasionally failed to complete properly.
